Effective July 1, 2008 the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) was reorganized as follows:
The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) was established to encompass three of the units of the former CLT: the International Teaching Assistant Development Program, the Cornell Teaching Assistant Development Program, and Faculty Instructional Support.
The Learning Strategies Center and Student Disability Services now report directly to Student and Academic Services. All offices remain on the 4th floor of the Computing & Communications Center.
The International Teaching Assistant Development Program offers academic programs and courses with small group instruction and individual consultation to international teaching assistants who want to improve their communication and pedagogical skills in American classrooms.
The Cornell Teaching Assistant (TA) Development Program provides workshops and individual support to teaching assistants to improve their teaching skills.
Faculty Instructional Support provides individual assistance to faculty members who want to learn how to be more effective teachers.
The Learning Strategies Center provides classes, tutorials, workshops, and individual consultations to help students develop effective learning strategies.
Student Disability Services ensures that qualified students with disabilities have the opportunity to participate in all programs and services on an equal basis and in an integrated setting with other students.
