Language Consultants
ITAs have the opportunity to meet with undergraduate language consultants one hour per week to enhance their language skills, develop cultural awareness, and get acquainted with Cornell undergraduates. Visit the language consultant page if you are interested in becoming a language consultant
Blackboard Web Site
ITADP courses are supported online via a Blackboard web site that offers supplemental language, teaching, and cultural resources. Go to http://blackboard.cornell.edu to enroll in International Teaching Assistant Development Program for all ITADP classes.
Additional Resources
Students have additional opportunities to develop oral communication using ITADP-sponsored workshops, conversation hours, and social activities.
Additional English Opportunities
The English for Academic Purposes program offers an array of credit-bearing courses designed to help students develop competence in written academic discourse and in spoken English in academic and non-academic situations.
The International Students and Scholars Office maintains an updated list of additional English classes in the Ithaca area.
An intensive summer program is offered by Cornell's English for International Students and Scholars Program.
Cornell's Public Service Center offers a Language Pairing Program. This program matches you with another student for an opportunity to practice conversational English and share your language and culture with others.
Tompkin's County Public Library offers all library card holders access to free English software.
